Registered Respiratory Therapists are responsible for providing, coordinating, and directing individualized comprehensive respiratory care to all patients based upon assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
ACCOUNTABILITY
Accountable to : Cardiopulmonary Director. In the absence of the Director, is responsible to the Lead RRT. Once oriented, the RRT is expected to function with a minimum of supervision.

Once oriented, the RRT is expected to function with a minimum of supervision.\n\n\n\nPOSITION REQUIREMENTS : \n\nCurrent Washington State license, as a Respiratory Care Practitioner\n\nWill maintain BLS, ACLS, NRP, PALS certification\n\nWill practice within the scope of practice of a RCP.\n\nPrefer one year of current acute care experience; but may be a new graduate\n\nAbility to lift fifty (50) pounds from floor to waist\n\nAbility to lift fifty (50) pounds from wheelchair to bed level\n\nAbility to lift five (5) pounds over head\n\nAbility to pull fifty (50) pounds from stretcher to bed\n\nAbility to push one hundred fifty (150) pound loaded stretcher 300 feet\n\nAuditory ability to perform procedures and to take accurate blood pressures\n\nVision adequate to observe patients and to perform charting procedures\n\nAbility to meet specific criteria for the Cardiopulmonary department
