AP Specialist

Our client is an organization in the Fox Valley area looking for an Accounts Payable Specialist . This company is looking for someone who is detail oriented, strong organizational skills and collaborative.

The salary range for this role is $22-$25 / hr.

The Accounts Payable Specialist will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following :

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Review, verify, and process vendor invoices and employee expense reports.
• Match purchase orders, invoices, and receiving documents to ensure accuracy.
• Prepare and execute payments (ACH, wire transfers, checks) in accordance with company policies and deadlines.
• Reconcile accounts payable transactions and resolve discrepancies.
• Maintain vendor files, ensuring accurate contact and payment information.
• Monitor accounts to ensure payments are up to date and follow up on outstanding items.
• Assist with month-end close, including accruals and reconciliations.
• Support audits by providing documentation and explanations as needed.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and internal controls.
• Collaborate with procurement and other departments to resolve billing or payment issues.

The Accounts Payable Specialist will possess the following :

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

• Associates degree preferred.
• Eager to learn.
• Detail-oriented with good organizational skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
