Unix Support Engineer

Title : Unix Support

Location : - O'Fallon, MO (Hybrid)

12 Months Contract or FTE

Project Scope : We are seeking a highly skilled and proactive Unix Support Engineer to join our Production Support team. The ideal candidate will have a strong L2 support background, hands-on experience with Unix, SQL, and Oracle DB, and expertise in cloud technologies such as AWS or PCF. This role demands a solid understanding of ITSM processes and excellent communication skills to collaborate across teams and ensure system stability.

Key Responsibilities :

• Provide L2 production support for Unix-based systems and applications
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve incidents related to Unix, SQL, and Oracle DB
• Perform root cause analysis and implement permanent fixes for recurring issues
• Collaborate with development and infrastructure teams to ensure system reliability
• Manage and support cloud-based environments (AWS or PCF)
• Adhere to ITSM processes including Incident, Problem, and Change Management
• Document support procedures, resolutions, and system configurations
• Participate in on-call rotation and support weekend deployments as needed
