Location : Gadsden, AL 35903 (Alabama nursing jobs)

Assignment Type : Travel RN contract

Start Date : December 15, 2025

End Date : March 16, 2026

Duration : 13-week travel nurse assignment

Shift : 12 Hour Nights (6 : 45 PM – 7 : 15 AM)

Hours per Week : 36

Schedule : Every other weekend required

Patient Ratio : 6 : 1

Setting : Medical-Surgical Unit (Med / Surg)

Estimated Weekly Salary : $1570-$1680

Registered Nurse Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license – Compact or Alabama state license

BLS certification required

Minimum 1 year of recent Med / Surg RN experience

Experience with Cerner EMR preferred

Must reside at least 50 miles from the healthcare facility

Med / Surg RN Responsibilities

Deliver high-quality nursing care to medical-surgical patients in a fast-paced healthcare setting

Monitor, assess, and document patient conditions and responses to treatment

Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by healthcare providers

Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes

Educate patients and families on care plans and post-discharge instructions

Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation using Cerner EMR
