SAP Report Designer/Developer

Job Description

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Collaborate with functional/business teams to understand the requirements and transform the requirements into technical designs and solutions and effective data models.
• Design data models to extend business content objects or create new data models (SAP HANA Modeling and ABAP CDS Modeling) to support self-service operational and analytical reporting needs. Develop complex ABAP CDS views based on data modeling principles.Implement best practice in designing CDS views for optimal performance and reusability.Address performance bottlenecks in ABAP CDS views.Collaborate with SAP Basis and other teams to fine tune and optimize data retrieval processes.Integrate CDS views with SAP Fiori applications and other SAP modules.
• Support design sessions in initial setup, prototype, configuration, and testing to fulfill the customer's reporting requirements on Embedded Analytics, SAP Analytics Cloud and Analysis for Office applications and present technical and system related key decisions.
• Provide ABAP development support for SAP modules, including custom enhancements and reports. Collaborate with other ABAP developers to ensure consistency in coding standards and best practices.
• Support the development and execution of test cases.
• Assist in report rationalization and master data harmonization activities.
• Recommend best practices and use cases for consuming Embedded Analytics, SAP Analytics Cloud and Analysis for Microsoft office applications considering the overall architecture to achieve tools integration, high performance and stability.
• Create and maintain design and technical documents for required configurations of Embedded Analytics, SAP Analytics Cloud and Analysis for Microsoft Office solutions per the blueprint, and to ensure clarity for future references.
• Build the required reports & dashboards to support the business requirements.

• Proficient with Microsoft Office.
• Experience with data security design and configuration.
• Experience with S/4HANA on cloud and Core Finance modules (GL, CO, GR, AP, FA, CM and MM), Sub Ledger (FPSL) and SAC Planning and BI.
• Strong knowledge of SAP Hana database and its integration with ABAP CDS.
• Experience in developing complex CDS views, including hierarchies, annotations, and associations.
• Familiarity with SAP Fiori development and UI5 would be a strong plus.

Required Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems or related technology majors.
• Minimum of 5 years' experience in SAP ABAP development with a focus on Core Data Services.
