OR Tech Job Requirements

Minimum 1 year of experience as an Operating Room Technician, Surgical Tech, or Scrub Technician

Valid Scrub Technician certification (Certified Surgical Technologist preferred)

Experience in a fast-paced surgical or hospital environment

Compliance with healthcare onboarding requirements : COVID-19, MMR, Hepatitis B, Influenza, TB, Varicella, Tdap, Physical / Health Statement

Professional documentation : Driver's License / State ID, Resume, References

Successful completion of competency exams and background checks

Operating Room Technician Responsibilities

Assist in surgical procedures as a vital member of the operating room team

Prepare and maintain sterile fields and surgical instruments for procedures

Support surgeons and nurses during operations, including First Assist and CVOR (Cardiovascular Operating Room) specialties

Ensure patient safety and strict adherence to infection control protocols

Maintain accurate healthcare documentation and communicate effectively with the surgical team

Participate in pre-operative and post-operative patient care as needed
