Travel Sterile Processing Technician / CPT

American Traveler is hiring a Sterile Processing Technician for a hospital-based evening shift role requiring at least 2 years of acute hospital OR experience and IAHCSMM / HSPA certification.

Job Details

• Work in the Sterile Processing department of an acute care hospital,
• Evening shifts, five 8-hour shifts per week from 11 : 00 to 19 : 30,
• On-call required for 8 hours once every 6 weeks on Sunday (7 : 00-15 : 30),
• Weekend work required for 8 hours once every 6 weekends on Saturday (7 : 00-15 : 30),
• Handles a broad range of surgical specialties including bariatric, cardiac, endoscopy, general, laparoscopic, OB / GYN, orthopedics, plastics, podiatry, robotics, and urology,
• Uses equipment such as washers / sterilizers, ultrasonic cleaners, and high-level disinfection systems,
• Responsible for decontamination, chemical agents, and sterilization wrapping procedures,
• Endoscope and scope / probe reprocessing required,
• Documentation in Sterile Processing Microsystem (SPM),
