Job Summary

We are looking for a highly experienced AS400 / SYNON Senior Developer with deep functional knowledge of PBM (Pharmacy Benefit Management) systems. The candidate must have strong hands-on expertise in CA / 2E (SYNON) and COBOL on AS400 , along with solid understanding of core adjudication, pricing, and accumulator logic .

Required Technical & Functional Skills

15+ years of hands-on development in CA / 2E (SYNON)

Programming, arrays, commit control

8+ years of hands-on experience in COBOL AS400 / COBOL ILE

Strong experience with :

iSeries / AS400 (Mid-Range)

ILE, COBOL / 400, CLLE

DB2 / 400

SQL

Experience working with ACMS / MOM

Strong exposure to DB2 / 400

PBM Functional Expertise (Must Have)

Core adjudication

Pricing & patient pay

Accumulators

Medicare Part D (Med D) pricing

Benefit plans

PBM regulations

RxClaim domain knowledge (highly preferred)

Roles & Responsibilities

Analyze and understand functional and technical requirements

Collaborate with business and capability teams to refine requirements

Provide hands-on development and technical leadership

Guide and mentor team members (onshore / offshore model)

Build scalable, efficient, and reliable solutions

Identify opportunities to optimize and fine-tune applications

Participate in Agile / Scrum development processes

Coordinate with clients for requirement clarification and solution design

Contribute to the technology roadmap (functional and technical)

Support continuous integration, improvement, and learning initiatives

Education

Bachelor's Degree (Required)

Master's Degree (Preferred)
