Job Description\n

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN Surgical Services Manager to oversee the management of a surgical services department and ensure compliance with care standards.

\n \n Responsibilities\n

  • Work in a hospital-based surgical services department
  • Administrative and clinical management of perioperative nursing activities
  • Monday through Friday work schedule
  • 13-week assignment
  • Responsible for directing all age-appropriate activities within the surgical services department
  • Makes immediate administrative decisions and ensures adherence to department policies and standards
  • May perform additional duties as assigned by the Chief Nursing Officer
  • Expected to handle confidential information and promote the organization's mission and values
  • Must be able to function independently and respond efficiently in emergency situations

  • Active ME or compact RN license required
  • Graduate from an accredited nursing program
  • At least 3 years of perioperative nursing experience
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required (may obtain within 6 months of hire)
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification required (may obtain within 6 months of hire)
  • CNOR certification required
  • Advanced computer skills and clinical proficiency
  • Demonstrated leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
