General Function and Description :
The Senior Director of Corporate Fundraising is responsible for managing the performance of resource development and marketing efforts of the organization, as well as specializing in individual giving. Areas of responsibility include securing funding for the organization by overseeing special event fundraising events, marketing and communications, corporate engagement, and grant-writing activities; managing individual giving programs; creating a culture of philanthropy; and supervising staff. The Advancement Department supports the mission of the organization through raising funds, marketing, and donor relations.

- Bachelor's degree required or equivalent professional experience; advanced degree and / or certifications preferred
- Fundraising or sales experience required

Demonstrated fundraising experience with a fundraising track record of increasing levels of successDemonstrated success as an individual contributor to the overall success of a fundraising teamAbility to work regular business hours with evenings, nights, and weekends as needed to provide oversight to attend events and address urgent mattersAbility to identify, create and offer ongoing support to employees through training, encouragement and reinforcement in order to breed success and support a positive growth cultureAbility to lead and motivate the work of a diverse, decentralized group of individuals, including volunteers and professionals in fundraising or sales activities that produce sustained and improved results over timeAbility to plan, lead, and shape organizational change and growth resulting in tangible progress towards stated operational and strategic goalsDemonstrated ability to communicate clearly and knowledgeably in both the written and spoken word. Must have sound knowledge of English composition, spelling, business correspondence and writing skills and must have ability to maintain effective relationships with youth, staff, Board of Directors, parents, volunteers, and the publicDemonstrated success managing relationships with varied community stakeholders. Demonstrated success working collaboratively with internal and external teams, and sharing information in an open and transparent fashion, addressing conflicts constructivelyMust have a working knowledge of creating budgets and managing expensesMust have a working knowledge of fundraising or sales practices and philosophiesMust have experience in meeting and adapting to laws and regulations including internal policies and procedures. Includes considerable past experience training, managing and disciplining employees as needed to enforce policies and procedures. Must have the ability to manage employee related situations with the highest degree of work maturity and professionalism possibleMust be able to pass any and all required background screens and drug screens at any timeMust have satisfactory driving record, valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and liability insurance for operation of a motor vehicle relevant to carrying out dutiesPreferred Qualifications :
Ability to create and implement integrated marketing and communication programs to meet strategic organization goalsAbility to directly manage a personal portfolio of 50 to 100 donors and meet personal fundraising targets of seven figuresAdvanced ability to set and meet goals and to supervise staff directly and indirectly, with an emphasis in performance-based management and tactics such as employee coaching and guidance and performance reviewsDemonstrated past success in collaborating with fundraising teams to implement programs and projects to meet and surpass donor and funding entity expectationsComputer proficiency in Microsoft Word, and PowerPoint, and experience with fundraising software. Experience with Raiser's Edge preferredDemonstrated past success managing and / or overseeing successful special event fundraising eventsDemonstrated understanding or sensitivity to the educational and psychological issues affecting disadvantaged youth and have displayed a belief, understanding and commitment to the Boys & Girls Clubs philosophyPast success with competitive written RFP processesWork experience with or program knowledge of the Boys & Girls Club Movement (national and / or local Club) is an advantageSalary & Benefits :
Range : $70,000-$80,000 (exempt full time)
