About The Position

Job Title : MRI Technologist

Experience : Minimum of 2 years

License : ARRT registered

Certifications : BCLS certification obtained within 4 months of hire and maintained thereafter

Must-Have : Influenza vaccination required unless a medical exemption is approved

Description :

Currently seeking a full-time MRI Technologist for 36 hours per week.

Shifts are Sunday, Wednesday, and Saturday, covering 12 hours from 6 : 30 am to 7 : 00 pm.

Variable shifts may be required based on census.

Holidays are covered by call, and assistance may be requested.

Must provide care appropriate to the condition and age of patients, including geriatric, pediatric, and the general population.

Responsible for the care and safety of patients while maintaining confidentiality at all times.

Must communicate the mission and vision of the organization and develop effective working relationships with patients and staff.

Job-specific duties include performing MRI procedures using and building protocols.

Screen patients for any contraindications pertaining to the exam and follow necessary safety requirements.

Interview patients to explain magnetic resonance imaging procedures and address their concerns with tact and courtesy.

Educate patients on procedures and answer any questions they may have.

Ensure patient and staff safety by explaining safety protocols and requesting removal of hazardous metal objects.

Alert staff of potential dangers and monitor patients visually and verbally at all times.

Operate other necessary equipment for daily duties and patient care.

Maintain a clean and orderly environment to promote good safety habits.

Report equipment status and help monitor inventory.

Perform other related duties as necessary.
