Travel Nursing Job Details

Assignment Type : Travel Nursing – Cardiac Stepdown RN

Location : North Chesterfield, VA (23235) – Richmond area

Unit : Intermediate Care Unit (IMCU) – Cardiac Stepdown

Start Date : January 5, 2026

End Date : April 6, 2026

Duration : 13 weeks

Shift : 12 Hour Nights (7 : 00 PM – 7 : 00 AM)

Hours per Week : 36

Weekend Requirement : Every other weekend

Dress Code : All navy scrubs

Estimated Weekly Salary Range : $1,780 - $1,910 per week

Registered Nurse Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license – Virginia or compact state

ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) and BLS (Basic Life Support) certifications

Minimum 1 year of recent experience in cardiac stepdown, IMCU, or acute care nursing jobs

Proficiency in drip titration (Diltiazem, Nitro, Heparin)

Basic cardiac rhythm recognition skills

Strong teamwork and flexibility with nursing shifts

Cardiac Stepdown RN Responsibilities

Deliver high-quality nursing care to cardiac stepdown patients in a 21-bed IMCU

Monitor patients using bedside monitors, EKG, and perform lab draws

Perform bladder scanning, bedside thoracentesis / paracentesis, blood product administration, straight cath, Foley insertion, removal, and care (including CBI)

Care for and remove central lines; manage BiPap and High Flow O2

Float to Med / Surg Telemetry nursing units as needed

Document patient care using MediTech EMR

Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team in a fast-paced environment
