Job Summary :
The Registered Nurse provides skilled nursing care, case management, and potentially hospice care, focusing on patients post PCI, pacemakers, AICDS, post MI, and cardiac pharmacological interventions. The role involves patient assessments, medication administration, treatment planning, and collaboration with an interdisciplinary team within a 26-bed MedSurg unit.

Responsibilities :
- Provide skilled nursing care.
- Perform patient assessments.
- Administer medications.
- Develop and implement treatment plans.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team.
- Specialize in the care of patients post PCI, pacemakers, AICDS, post MI, and cardiac pharmacological interventions.
- Interpret and manage dysrhythmias.
- Utilize Rapid Response / Code teams.
- Perform peripheral line care / management.
- Administer respiratory support including nasal cannula, oxygen face masks, and portable oxygen tanks.
- Implement non-invasive airway management.
- Adhere to isolation precautions.
- Manage a patient ratio of 1 : 5 to 1 : 7.
Required Skills & Certifications :
Active Registered Nurse license in New York State.BLS certification.Proficiency in EPIC charting.Minimum 1 year of experience.Clinical Assessment, Medication Administration, and Treatment Planning skills.Interdisciplinary Team Collaboration skills.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.Cardiac Monitoring and Emergency response skills.IV therapy / Phlebotomy skills.Respiratory support skills.Preferred Skills & Certifications :
Bachelor's degree in Nursing or related field.Special Considerations :
Must work every other weekend.Must work holidays.Must live more than 75 miles away.Scheduling :
MedSurg unit with 26 beds.
