Job Title : Center Store Clerk

This is not an official job description, but represents major responsibilities a new hire can expect to perform : You could expect the position of center store clerk to include the following :

Duties :

• Provide friendly and courteous service to customers
• Regular, reliable attendance is an essential function of the job.
• Stock, straighten and rotate product on shelves in Dairy, Frozen, Non-Foods, and Grocery Departments.
• Process incoming product from our warehouse and direct store delivery vendors
• Read and understand shelf tags
• Sort damaged product for credit
• Operate a hand jack, power lift and cardboard baler
• Follow company safety guidelines when using cutters, power lifts, and baler
• Maintain cleanliness of shelves, displays, backroom, refrigerated cases, cooler and freezer
• Maintain company productivity standards
• Other duties may be assigned at the discretion of store management

Training : Training will be provided at store level.

Physical Demands :

Bending

Stooping

Able to stock 50 cases per hour

Able to work in a cold environment (-10 to 40 degrees)

Able to push loaded two wheeler (average 100-120 pounds)

Able to pull a loaded pallet (up to 700 pounds)

Able to pull loaded stock truck

Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds

Working on feet entire shift (4-8 hours)

Additional Requirements Internal Candidates :

Store / Facility Teammates : minimum of six months employment with Schnucks preferred.

Store Support Center Teammates : minimum of one year employment with Schnucks preferred.

Must be in good standing (not on a performance improvement plan or active discipline).

If invited for an interview, must have manager approval based on performance.

Compensation Pay Range : $15.10 - $16.10
