Dietary Aide - Southwestern Nursing & Rehabilitation Center

Under the direction and supervision of the Director of Food service, the Dietary Aide works in the kitchen assisting in the preparation and service of food and follows a cleaning schedule. The service of food may include the transporting of food trays to the nursing units.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :

The Food Service Aide may be responsible for some and / or all of the following functions some and / or all of the time under the assignment and direction of his / her supervisor.

• Prepares and / or assists in preparation of meals, snacks and beverages.
• Responsible for or assists in assembling trays, cleaning and storage of supplies and equipment.
• Continuously cleans food service work areas as food preparation and service is done.
• Labels nourishment and sends or transports them to resident floors.
• Transporting trays and carts to or from the resident floors.
• Communicates with Director of Food Service or Assistant Director of Food Service throughout shift as needed to best meet needs of residents.
• Attendance includes rotating weekends & holidays.
