(R) (ARRT) certification required BLS certification from the American Heart Association required Licensed Radiology Technologist for Kansas healthcare facilities required Minimum 1 year of post-certification experience in diagnostic imaging Proficient in all aspects of Diagnostic Imaging, including surgery and trauma cases Ability to float to other CommonSpirit healthcare locations within 60 miles as needed Radiology Technologist Responsibilities Perform high-quality diagnostic radiology procedures, ensuring patient safety and comfort Adhere to safe radiation practices and maintain ALARA principles Prepare patients for exams, provide clear instructions, and address their physical and emotional needs Assist and position patients during exams; document patient conditions and any unusual occurrences Facilitate smooth patient flow, scheduling, and optimal use of radiology equipment and resources Communicate effectively with physicians, imaging staff, students, and hospital personnel Perform IV starts and administer contrast as required for imaging procedures Maintain radiology equipment, perform quality checks, and ensure a clean, safe work environment Support and mentor student radiographers and collaborate with other healthcare professionals Engage in ongoing education and participate in department and hospital quality improvement initiatives Apply now to join our healthcare team as a travel Radiology Technologist in Garden City, Kansas, and take the next step in your medical imaging career!
