Job description

Overview

SECURITY OFFICER, FH - BMH SAFETY & SECURITY at Froedtert Health. Location : US : WI : WAUWATOSA at our Froedtert Bluemound Rehab Hosp facility. This job is ON - SITE. FTE : 1.0. Standard Hours : 40.00. Shift : Shift 3 (9 : 45pm to 6 : 00am). Holidays : Work holidays if your shift falls on the holiday. Weekends : Yes, will have 2 consecutive off days. Off days based on schedule needs.

Job summary : Providing security in / around the hospital, facilities, campus, ancillary clinics and parking structures. Focus on the safety and security of patients, visitors, and staff. Responding to dispatch calls as a visible deterrent, investigating unusual circumstances, assisting with de-escalation, and security enforcement. Performs other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

  • Provide security coverage in / around the hospital and related facilities and parking structures.
  • Respond to dispatch calls and investigate incidents as a visible deterrent.
  • Assist with de-escalation and enforce security procedures; perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Experience : 1 year of security experience or equivalent.
  • Education : High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Training : Proof of training in Froedtert-approved DAAT (Defense and Arrest Techniques) within the previous three years or ability to obtain certification within 120 days of hire, including de-escalation training. Must complete National Incident Management System (NIMS) IS-700 and ICS-100 within six months of hire. Must have FTO (Field Training Officer) program completed within 120 days. Training may be site specific. Familiarity with CCTV systems and operation preferred.
  • Special Skills : Ability to lift / carry up to 50 lbs occasionally; push / pull up to 100 lbs occasionally; occasional stair climbing; frequent walking; ability to get up and down from floor to standing independently.
  • Licensure : Valid driver\'s license required. American Heart Association Basic Life Support for the Healthcare Provider (BLS) or equivalent required within three months of hire.
