Allied Universal is seeking a part-time flex security officer for a facility located in Pennington, NJ. Available shifts are Sat & Sun 10 : 00PM - 6 : 00AM. Shifts are subject to change and must be flexible. The starting salary is $19.60 per hour. Requirements include active SORA, 21 years of age, high school diploma or higher, 3+ years security, military or law enforcement experience, or a college degree, ability to pass a physical, CPR certification, comfort using computer or tablet, and customer service experience. Uniforms and equipment are provided at no cost, with paid training.

Responsibilities include performing security patrols of designated areas on foot or in a vehicle, watching for irregular or unusual conditions, sounding alarms or calling police or fire department in case of fire or presence of unauthorized persons, warning violators of rule infractions, permitting authorized persons to enter property, observing departing personnel to protect against theft of company property, investigating and reporting on accidents, incidents, and suspicious activities, aiding customers, employees, and visitors in a courteous and professional manner, and making emergency notifications as necessary.

Qualifications must include a high school diploma or equivalent or 5 years of verifiable experience, licensing requirements subject to state and / or local laws, valid driver's license if driving a company or customer-owned vehicle, reliability, ability to adapt to different post assignments, ability to operate radio or telephone equipment and / or console monitors, demonstrated ability to interact cordially and communicate with the public, effective oral and written communication skills, active listening and problem-solving skills, ability to assess and evaluate situations effectively, mediate conflict with tact, diplomacy, teamwork, and attention to detail. Preferred qualifications include ability to speak, read, and write in multiple languages, and prior security, military, or law enforcement experience.
