MANTECH seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented Systems Administrator to join our team in Washington, DC . This is an onsite position.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to :
Install, configure, and support computer systems and peripheral hardware including memory, drives, network cards, media converters, routers, switches, and printers
Administer and troubleshoot Windows-based servers and workstations both locally and remotely
Perform system tasks such as adding / removing users, software installation, monitoring systems, and daily user assistance
Provide remote support by identifying issues through diagnostic techniques, escalating unresolved issues, and ensuring complete resolution and documentation
Support operational continuity by logging tickets accurately, tracking incident status, and maintaining detailed records of problem-solving actions
Assist in deploying IT hardware through base configurations, coordinating logistics, shipping equipment, and validating receipt and inventory
Conduct remote site surveys to determine hardware and cabling requirements and complete other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications :
Bachelor's degree in a STEM field with 2+ years of Systems Administration experience; an Associates degree with 4+ years of Systems Administration experience, or a High School Diploma and 6+ years of Systems Administration experience may be substituted for a Bachelor’s degree
DoD 8570 IAT Level 2 certification required, e.g., Security+ CE, CCNA Security, CND or SSCP
Knowledge of Microsoft Windows 10 and Windows 2016 Server
2+ years of experience with Microsoft Windows Systems and VMware desktops
Preferred Qualifications :
ITILv4 Foundations certification
Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills
Excellent maintenance organizational skills
Clearance Requirements :
Must possess a current / active TS / SCI clearance and be willing and able to obtain a polygraph
Physical Requirements :
The person in this position must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time. Occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, or to communicate with co-workers, management, and customers, via email, phone, and or virtual communication, which may involve delivering presentations.
