Associate Attorney – Municipal Law (Sacramento)

A dynamic and highly respected law firm is seeking an experienced Municipal Law Attorney to join its growing public law practice. This role is ideal for an attorney with a solid foundation in municipal or public agency law who is eager to support cities, special districts, and other government entities with practical, ethical, and solution-oriented legal counsel.

Responsibilities :

Advise public agencies on a range of issues including land use, contracts, compliance, and governance.

Draft, review, and revise ordinances, resolutions, and policies for legal accuracy and compliance.

Represent clients at city council meetings, planning commissions, and administrative hearings.

Collaborate with internal teams and agency personnel to address complex legal matters with clarity and innovation.

Qualifications :

Minimum of 5 years of legal experience, preferably in municipal or public agency law.

California Bar admission in good standing.

Excellent analytical, research, writing, and communication skills.

Ability to manage client relationships and work both independently and within a team.

Bonus : Experience in land use, government contracting, labor / employment, or environmental law.
