The Process Engineer is a key technical member of the Process Engineering Team and R&D team, reporting to the Plant Manager. This role is responsible for implementing process improvement projects and supporting the implementation of World Class Manufacturing. This role is also responsible for ensuring the safe and effective management of cost reduction activities for manufacturing.

Job Responsibilities
Leads the Focused Improvement PillarStrategizes with management to initiate process improvement projects by determining the scope, objectives, metrics, cost, schedule and necessary resource requirements.Coordinates, plans and executes process improvement projects to fully implement and ensure sustaining mechanisms are in place.Provides direction and oversight to the quality control staff.Assist with the specification of processing equipment as well as processing support equipment in the manufacture of LDPE products.Works with vendors / suppliers with regards to formulations and blends.Meets code requirements for all products within the OKC facility, such as E84 testingDrives the completion of tasks generated in project meetings and monitors sustaining activities to ensure successful and timely completion of action items.Gathers data, performs root cause analysis and applies appropriate problem solving techniques to lead process improvement.Leads relevant cost reduction projects to support costs reduction and plant profitability.Formulates process improvement proposals including purpose of project, utilization of applications, budget, and equipment requirements.Assists in training team members in World Class Manufacturing pillars, problem solving tools and methods.Trains and qualifies Extrusion Technicians for the Production Lines as well as managing all PSM training within the facility.Manages optimum Reclaimed product levels within the production process.Drives improvement in areas of Safety, Quality and Process Reliability.Proactively involves employees at all levels of the organization to gain their input and support.Benchmarks industry best practices to identify future improvements and opportunities.Job Qualifications and Requirements
Bachelor's degree in chemistry, Chemical, Mechanical or Industrial Engineering.Minimum of 5-7 years equivalent work experience in a manufacturing environment. Theoretical and practical aspects of plastics processing : mixing, extrusion and foaming strongly preferred.Proficient in Microsoft Office, with user knowledge of AutoCAD and Solidworks.Must possess knowledge of process improvement techniques, such as Lean Manufacturing.Willingness to travel up to 25%.Excellent interpersonal and communication skills required.Demonstrate willingness to work hands-on with processes.Demonstrate visible leadership on the plant floor and all levels of the organization with the ability to influence colleagues and different levels in the organization required.Posting Dates

The expected compensation range for this role is $85,000.00 -$110,000.00.
The compensation range and benefits for this position are based on a full-time schedule for a full calendar year. The salary will vary depending on your job-related skills, experience, and location. Pay increment and frequency of pay will be in accordance with employment classification and applicable laws. For part time roles, your compensation and benefits will be adjusted to reflect your hours. Benefits may be pro-rated for those who start working during the calendar year.
