Maintenance Mechanic / Locksmith

The Mechanic / Locksmith provides general maintenance of facilities doors and hardware and is responsible for the installation and maintenance of locks, keys and security systems. Duplicates key, replaces and re-keys locks as necessary, and ensures that all security devices are in adequate working condition. Assists other trades as needed.

EDUCATION

High School graduate or equivalent.

EXPERIENCE

Three years' experience in healthcare building is preferred but not required.

LICENSURE / REGISTRATION / CERTIFICATION

Valid North Carolina driver's license. Certified Registered Locksmith (CRL) by Associated Locksmiths of America or be obtained within 1 year of employment.

OTHER SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

Good interpersonal and communication skills are necessary to communicate with administrative personnel, Directors, Managers , and all other staff members to maintain building upkeep.
