Social Media Specialist
Seeking a Full Time creative, trend-savvy Social Media Specialist to help grow and manage our digital presence across multiple platforms. This role is perfect for a candidate who loves digital storytelling and can turn complex healthcare and research topics into engaging, accessible content.
Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain social media accounts across LinkedIn, X, Instagram, Facebook, YouTube and emerging platforms.
- Create, edit, and schedule engaging multi-format content (copy, graphics, and short-form video).
- Monitor social media trends, analytics, and best practices to increase reach and engagement.
- Collaborate with the Marketing Manager and leadership team to support content campaigns.
- Engage with followers, respond to messages, and foster online community building.
- Capture and edit photo / video content at events and on-site as needed.
- Track performance metrics and provide reports with actionable recommendations.
- Assist Manager / Director(s) with internal communications where applicable.
- All other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
3 years of Marketing / Communications / Public Relations experience.Bachelor's in Marketing, Communications, Journalism or related field.Experience managing social media accounts (academic, organizational, or professional).Strong copywriting skills with the ability to adapt tone for different platforms.Basic graphic design (Canva, Adobe Creative Suite) and video editing (CapCut, Adobe Premiere).Familiarity with social media analytics and platform-specific best practices.Awareness of current and emerging social media trends.Highly organized, detail-oriented, and creative with strong time management skills.Able to work independently while collaborating effectively in a team setting.Genuine passion for social media, digital culture, and storytelling.Interest in research, innovation, or science communication is a plus.Photography and / or Videography / Editing experience.Media monitoring platform experience.This is a patient-sensitive position and must meet all associated requirements.
