DOT Truck Driver

Ability to pass a company road test. Accurately complete corresponding delivery paperwork and work with production, sales and customers to communicate issues with loads and delivery time. Maintain electronic or paper logs of working hours. No more than 1 moving violation in the previous 3 years. No on-road preventable accidents during the past (3) years as shown on the Motor Vehicle Road (MVR); accidents are reviewed by CMC Logistics. Pass required D.O.T. and CMC Logistics drug testing programs and physicals as required by D.O.T. Perform additional duties as needed. Performs daily Pre-Trip, Inter-Trip, and Post Trip Inspections. Responsible for the delivery of products to customers, contractors, and jobsites throughout the location geographic region. Valid Class A Commercial Driver License required. Maintain log of working hours and vehicle service or repair status. Ensure vehicle is properly loaded and load secured and product is delivered safely and timely. Ability to work outside and lift heavy loads. Willingness to learn, tackle new challenges, and work well with a team or independently.
Valid Class A Commercial Driver License required. Ability to inspect vehicle(s) for any safety or operational defects using DOT, maintenance, and safety checklists and ensuring emergency equipment is in proper working order. Ability to operate variety of trucks (roll off, van, or flatbed). Driver must be able to learn in D.O.T. Regulations / Requirements. Ensure vehicle is properly loaded and load secured and product is delivered safely and timely. Loading truck may require : securing chains across the width of a trailer to secure the product, both on the bed of a trailer and in an overhead rack, tarping of loads on trailers, and dropping and hooking a trailer. Maintain log of working hours and vehicle service or repair status. Minimum 2 years verifiable tractor / trailer experience required (3 years preferred). Must be able to work outside under all weather conditions to include working in the heat and cold weather.
High School Diploma or GED required.
