Job SummaryWe are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Speech Language Pathologist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assessing, diagnosing, and treating individuals with speech, language, and communication disorders. This role involves working closely with patients from birth through young adulthood, particularly in pediatric settings, to develop personalized treatment plans that promote effective communication and enhance overall quality of life.
- Duties
- Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate speech and language abilities in patients.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on assessment results.
- Provide therapy sessions focusing on improving articulation, fluency, expressive and receptive language, pragmatic language, and executive functioning skills.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, educators, and families to support patient care and progress.
- Document patient progress and modify treatment plans as needed to ensure optimal outcomes.
- Educate patients and their families on strategies to enhance communication skills at home.
- Stay current with advancements in speech therapy practices and medical terminology.
- Qualifications
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
- Valid state licensure or certification as a Speech Language Pathologist.
- Strong knowledge of medical and educational terminology related to speech therapy and patient care.
- Understanding of physiology and anatomy relevant to speech and language functions.
- Experience in pediatrics or early intervention is preferred but not required.
- Excellent patient assessment skills with the ability to develop effective treatment strategies.
- Strong interpersonal skills for effective communication with patients, families, and colleagues.
- Prior experience in school settings is a plus.
