Redpath USA Corporation a premier full-service underground mining contractor is in search of an qualified Shaft Engineer to join our team.

Project : South 32 Hermosa Mine

Location : Patagonia, AZ

Responsibilities

Job Summary :

The position will ensure the management and coordination of all engineering activities associated to the entire shaft infrastructures.

Duties and Responsibilities :

• Detailed understanding of shaft sinking operations.
• Strong knowledge of mining regulations.
• Detailed mining engineering skills including ventilation, rock mechanics, explosives, cost evaluation, mining methods, etc.
• Basic electrical, mechanical and civil engineering knowledge.
• Good knowledge of construction techniques and requirements and mining operations and techniques.
• Able to manage multiple projects and personnel.
• Good understanding of field requirements and conditions.
• Able to lead project to completion in timely manner.
• Good understanding of the time, effort and cost of performing construction at mining works.
• Able to estimate projects.
• Able to work closely with clients, anticipate needs and answer questions.
