Project Management Assistant

Under close supervision, responsible for basic project management activities of low to medium complexity project(s), and support more senior level project management staff for high complexity projects.

• Basic project management activities include development and maintenance of project schedules, status reporting, issue management, and other tasks required to effectively manage and monitor a project through to successful completion (on time, within budget, adhering to high quality standards, and meeting internal & external customer expectations)
• Capture, maintain and manage projects in Planview (DRIVE, enterprise project management system), prepare and co-facilitate project reviews with key stakeholders, prepare project (portfolio) updates for (Executive) Management
• Support team with Initiation of project (project charters, project plan, communication plan, stakeholder analysis, onboarding project team members)
• Tracks, analyse and report on project expected benefits / values
• Tracks project spending against budgets
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Bachelor's degree / equivalent in computer science, engineering, information systems, or business administration
• 3-5 years working experience in Supply Chain and / or Air and Ocean Freight Forwarding and / or Brokerage industry
• 2 years experience in Project Management and / or leading Continuous Improvement projects (QDM, Six Sigma, Lean management)

Preferred Qualifications : Variable remote with some in office work, and some remote. Some minimal travel 5-10% Domestic. Seeking strong analytical skills. Preferred experience with Power BI and Smartsheets.
