A leading machinery manufacturer is seeking an experienced Senior Controls Engineer to join their growing engineering team in New Hampshire. This is an exciting opportunity to take a hands-on technical lead in the design, development, and implementation of control systems for high-performance industrial equipment.
Key Responsibilities :
- Design, program, and commission PLC-based control systems for custom machinery.
- Develop HMI and SCADA solutions to ensure intuitive operation and system visibility.
- Create detailed electrical schematics and panel layouts using AutoCAD or similar tools.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with mechanical, electrical, and software engineers to deliver integrated system solutions.
- Support troubleshooting, testing, and on-site commissioning activities.
- Lead technical discussions with clients and vendors, ensuring alignment on project specifications and deliverables.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives in system architecture, safety compliance, and automation standards.
Key Requirements :
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation, or a related field.5+ years of experience designing and implementing industrial control systems.Proficiency with major PLC platforms (Rockwell / Allen-Bradley, Siemens, etc.).Experience with HMI / SCADA development and industrial networking protocols (Ethernet / IP, Modbus, etc.).Strong understanding of control panel design and electrical standards (UL508A, NFPA 79).Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently and as part of a team.Willingness to travel occasionally for customer site visits and commissioning.Desirable :
Experience in machinery manufacturing or capital equipment environments.Familiarity with motion control, robotics, or vision systems.
