Role Snapshot
- Set up and run press brakes (both manual and CNC) to bend and form sheet metal to exact specifications.
 - Interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and work orders to sequence bends and achieve required tolerances.
 - Use calipers, protractors, and other precision tools to validate dimensions and quality.
 - Tune machine parameters for material type, thickness, and bend allowance.
 - Perform routine upkeep to keep equipment safe and production-ready.
 - Deliver accurate, consistent parts while following all safety procedures.
 - Work closely with fabrication teammates to hit production goals.

What You’ll Need (Required)
High school diploma or equivalent.2+ years operating a press brake in a sheet metal fabrication environment.Ability to read mechanical drawings and blueprints.Strong understanding of metals, thicknesses, and bend allowances.Comfort with precision measuring instruments.Solid shop math and exceptional attention to detail.Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.Bonus Skills (Preferred)
Forklift experience.CNC press brake programming (e.g., Amada, Bystronic, Accurpress).Welding or complementary metal fabrication skills.Background in custom fabrication or job shop settings.2–5 years of related welding / fabricating and insulating experience preferred, including proven experience as a Welder / Fabricator and Industrial Insulator (3+ years ideal).Welding program diploma, related coursework, or equivalent experience.OSHA 10 / 30 certification.Proficiency with welding processes and knowledge of metallurgy.Familiarity with industrial insulation materials and methods.Strong mechanical aptitude and physical stamina.Physical Realities of the Job
Frequent exposure to dust, noise, and odors.Must be in good overall health with strong mental focus, agility, balance, and vision (close work, depth perception, and peripheral vision).Regular pulling, pushing, reaching, climbing, kneeling, crawling, significant hand / finger manipulation, and prolonged standing.Regularly lift / move 25–50 lbs; frequently 50–75 lbs with a teammate or mechanical assist.Work occurs within heavy steel fabrication, welding, painting, and assembly environments.Potential exposure to varying weather and temperatures.Tools, Tech, and Machines
