Subcontract Manager
Revolution Space is looking for a dynamic and growth-oriented Subcontract Manager who develops, negotiates, and administers contracts for specialized parts, components, and services, ensuring compliance with government regulations and managing supplier performance to meet cost, quality, and schedule goals. Key responsibilities include establishing subcontract strategies, managing supplier relationships, conducting financial and risk analysis, leading proposal efforts, and serving as the primary liaison between the company and its suppliers.
The position is full-time, remote, and available to be filled immediately.
Responsibilities :
- Develop overall subcontracting strategies and internal subcontract management policies to meet program demands, control costs, and manage risks.
- Manage the full lifecycle of subcontracts from pre-proposal and proposal phases through execution and contract close-out.
- Qualify, select, and manage suppliers, ensuring they meet technical, quality, and delivery requirements.
- Lead negotiations for subcontract terms, conditions, and pricing to achieve optimal cost structures.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate risks associated with subcontracts and supplier performance.
- Prepare financial reports, conduct price and cost analyses, and manage subcontractor budgets.
- Ensure all subcontracts and procurement activities comply with applicable laws, regulations, and customer flow-down requirements.
- Collaborate closely with internal teams (e.g. engineering, project management, finance, etc.) and serve as the primary point of contact for suppliers and external stakeholders.
Required Qualifications :
Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting or a related field10+ years of subcontract management experience in the aerospace, space or defense industriesExperience managing Department of Defense (DoD) and NASA contracts, including CPFF, CPAF, CPIF, Cost Reimbursable, T&M, FFP, and OTA contract typesKnowledge :
Strong knowledge of government cost principles, FAR, DFARS, and NFS regulationsProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook)Knowledge of ERP systems such as Deltk Costpoint NetSuite or MS DynamicsSkills :
