Systems Safety Engineer

Overview

A REMOTE Safety Engineer position is available through TriMech Services. As the safety engineer, you will work under the direction of the Systems Engineer / Principal Engineer in developing test plans.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain the systems engineering (SE) approach to eliminating hazards where possible and minimizing risks where those hazards cannot be eliminated. MIL-STD 882E
• Create and maintain a System Safety Program Plan (SSPP).
• Create and maintain a Safety Critical Items (SCI) List.
• Create and maintain a Hazard Tracking System (HTS).
• Create, implement, and maintain a Hazardous Materials Management Program (HMMP).
• Create and maintain a Hazardous Management Plan (HMP).
• Create and maintain a Hazard Log database.
• Communicate information clearly to end users.
• Collect source data as required through either internal or vendor sources.
• Support verification with the customer as required.

Qualifications

This is a 3-6 month contract with possible extension offering generous benefits, holiday pay, paid time off, and a company-sponsored retirement plan.
