About The Position

Job Title : Sterile Processing Technician - Sterile Processing Tech

Location (Onsite, Remote, or Hybrid?) : La Crosse, WI (ONSITE)

Contract Duration : 13 weeks

Working Hours : 12 : 30 PM - 9 : 00 PM

Total Weekly Hours : 40 hrs SPT - 8hr PM (Mon-Fri) - Contract Length : 13 weeks

• Shift Requirements : 8hr PM shift (1230p-9p)
• Float Requirements : None
• On Call / Call Back Requirements : None
• Travel Exp : Required
• Weekend / Holiday Requirements : Weekend none & Holidays as needed
• Required Certifications : Graduate of an accredited Operating Room Technician or Central Service Technician program. Must have a high school diploma or GED.
• Minimum Experience : 3+ YRS Experience
• Primary cases : Ortho, robotics, general
• Desired Skillset : Decontamination, assembly, sterilization, some picking case carts
• Scrub color : provided
• COVID Vaccine required (exemptions will be considered) GSA is not guaranteed orientation week. Traveler is guaranteed set hours per week, except during holidays where unit is closed. Billing : Monday - Sunday
• candidate must start medical portion of compliance within 48 hours of accepted offer, or 24 hrs for a quick start
• ATTENDANCE POLICY : Occurrences of calling off attached to vacation time could result in termination and will be up to the discretion of leadership. It is okay to ask for prior approval (would need at least a week notice) for extra time attached to an RTO, but it will not be guaranteed. Hours cannot be made up on weekends without prior approval

Scrubs are provided by Emplify. You must remain in your hospital-provided scrub jacket while in the department. You may not leave the facility while wearing the hospital-provided scrubs.

New / freshly washed shoes that will be kept in your locker are required. These will not leave the premises while you are employed through Emplify.

Hair covering while in the hospital-provided scrubs is mandatory. Beard covers must be worn if applicable.

No false eyelashes, false / acrylic nails, or nail polish / lacquer / gel polishes are to be worn.

Secured piercings are okay (fully closed loops, screwed on ball closure, ect). Any unsecured piercings are strictly prohibited. Loose jewelry (necklaces, bracelets / watches, earrings) that cannot be concealed by scrubs / hair covering is prohibited as well.

No strongly scented aerosol deodorants are to be worn. Cologne and perfumes are prohibited.
