Job description

Waste Connections has an immediate opening for a Heavy Equipment Operator to join our team in White Plains, KY

Our Equipment Operators operate equipment such as bulldozers, wheel loaders, excavators, and off-road dump trucks. You will be responsible for routine inspection and maintenance on the equipment such as checking oil, water, and tires.

Pay Rate : $22.50 / hr plus approximately 10 or so hours of overtime weekly.

(Overtime is time and a half after 40 hrs)

Schedule : 6 : 30am start time averaging approximately 10 hours per day.

Monday-Friday with occasional Saturdays.

Duties & Responsibilities :

  • Operating heavy equipment such as : bulldozers, wheel loaders, motor grader, scraper, and compactors.
  • Performing routine inspection and maintenance on equipment.
  • Promoting continuous improvement of workplace safety and environmental practices.
  • Interacting with customers and Waste Connections employees to determinesafe and environmentally sound solutions toserviceissues.

    • Job Requirements -

  • Ability to lift 50lbs repeatedly throughout the day.
  • Ability to work outside in all weather conditions.
