LocumJobsOnline is working with Lancesoft Inc to find a qualified Emergency Medicine PA in Michigan!

Pay Information

$110 to $120 per hour

About The Position

Pay Information

Hourly rate + OT (1.5x) & holiday (1.5x)

Orientation paid at ½ hourly rate

Travel, lodging, and mileage reimbursed within client policy

📌 Position Overview

We are seeking experienced and board-certified APPs (NP / PA) for a high-volume Level 3 Emergency Department . Providers will cover a fast-track “VUE” unit (10 beds) and work independently with physician support available 24 / 7 for case review, guidance, and backup.

Shift : 11a–11p (12 hours) | 7 days a week

Schedule Model : Staggered physician coverage, max staffing 2p–6p (busiest hours)

ED Volume : ~40,000 annually (~110 patients / day, divided among providers)

Coverage : One APP shift daily + attending physicians + EM residents (handled by MDs, no APP supervision required)

Setting : 50 bed hours | ~20% admission rate | 60% hospital admits come from ED

EMR : Cerner

🛠️ Responsibilities

Independently evaluate and manage low-to-moderate acuity ED patients in fast-track area

Collaborate with emergency physicians for consults, reviews, or escalated cases

Order and interpret diagnostic studies (24 / 7 lab, radiology, blood bank, OR, pathology, all surgical specialties available)

Document accurately and efficiently in Cerner

Support admissions process (house officers input orders; mostly handled by IM & surgical residents)

✅ Requirements

Board Certified NP / PA – Required

Active MI license – Required (IMLC not accepted)

DEA – Required (verbal confirmation at name clear)

ACLS & ATLS (AHA) – Required

2+ years recent Emergency Medicine experience – Required

Must be local to Michigan – no exceptions

Clean background – required for quick credentialing

Availability for listed dates – required

🧾 Compliance & Clearance

Immunizations : Hep B, MMR, Varicella (vaccines or titers)

TB : Within last 12 months

TDAP : Within 10 years

Flu : Current season

COVID documentation – required
