Primary Purpose :
The Field Engineer must work independently and stay organized to manage assigned activities for the NHD DMM Project. This role provides technical support to the Project Engineer, Project Manager, department heads, and other staff as needed. Responsibilities include overseeing construction activities, material tracking, cement grout quality control, and preparing daily as-built records in AutoCAD. This is a field-based role involving tasks of controlled complexity, with work time split between the field and the field office. Full-time, night / day shift work is required. Remote work is not permitted. Some intercity travel may be necessary.
Qualifications :
Education / Certification :
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
- Additional certifications in project management, scheduling, or relevant technical skills are a plus.
Special Knowledge / Technical Skills :
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, MS Project).Flexibility and adaptability to project needs.Familiarity with office routines, documentation protocols, and administrative procedures.Ability to read and interpret construction plans and specifications.Competency in using survey equipment and verifying control points.Strong verbal and written communication skills.Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving abilities.Ability to meet deadlines with minimal supervision.Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.Technical acumen in process improvement, safety management, documentation, and CAD drafting / design.Valid driver's license and reliable vehicle.Experience :

Records, Reports, and Scheduling :
Prepare correspondence, forms, daily reports, and presentations for the Project Manager.Oversee project documentation control and ensure proper recordkeeping.Respond to inquiries and prepare reports regarding project scope and scheduling.Update project records and coordinate daily with the Project Engineer.Support the Project Manager / Superintendent with grout quality control, AutoCAD as-built drawings, and daily construction reporting.Measure cement grout specific gravity and temperature in the batch plant as required.Prepare and submit comprehensive Project Data Books.Other Duties :
Coordinate tasks with Project Leads and other staff members.Participate in daily safety briefings and toolbox meetings.Attend site progress meetings to report field status.Maintain accurate and complete documentation for quality assurance.Assist with site safety documentation and compliance tracking.Support survey activities when needed.Ensure confidentiality of project information.Assist with daily project start-up and close-out activities.Perform other duties as assigned by the Project Engineer.Mental Demands / Physical Demands / Environmental Factors :

Primary Purpose :
The QC Technician is responsible for independently managing assigned quality control activities for the North Haiwee Reservoir DMM Project. This position provides technical support to Project Engineers, Field Engineers, and other project staff as required. The primary duties include conducting QC operations for Deep Mixing Method (DMM) activities, material tracking, cement grout quality control, and final data preparation. This is a field-based role involving controlled-complexity tasks with work time divided between the field and field office. Full-time work, including night or day shifts, is required. Remote work is not permitted. Occasional intercity travel may be necessary.

Adhere to and actively promote site-specific safety protocols and procedures.Provide safety support while working in and around batch plants and operational zones.Conduct QC inspections of materials and production processes during DMM operations.Accurately record and report QC inspection data to Project Engineers in a timely manner.Complete required paperwork and documentation following daily production activities.Monitor inventory levels of QC materials and tools, requesting replenishment as necessary.Perform routine inspections and calibrations of QC equipment and measuring devices.Support Batch Plant Operators with daily production and quality-related activities.Coordinate with QA / QC teams to ensure drilling rigs comply with project quality standards.Provide QC support during coring operations, including sample verification and documentation.Maintain comprehensive records of test results, material usage logs, and QC documentation.Immediately report any non-conformances or deviations to Engineering and QA / QC teams.Ensure proper handling, maintenance, and storage of QC tools and testing instruments.Participate in safety meetings, toolbox talks, and quality assurance discussions.Assist in training and mentoring junior QC staff on procedures and safety awareness.Mental Demands / Physical Demands / Environmental Factors :
