Storekeeper

Storekeeper - $20.00 / HOUR

A company in Santa Teresa, NM needs a Storekeeper. The Storekeeper is responsible for the overall management of the company's inventory, including raw materials, work-in-progress, and finished wire and cable products. This role ensures efficient stock control, accurate record-keeping, and the seamless flow of materials to and from the production floor to prevent delays and maintain productivity.

Essential duties and responsibilities

Inventory management and control

• Maintain accurate inventory records through regular cycle counts and perpetual inventory tracking.
• Utilize inventory management or Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software to record all stock movements.
• Ensure proper storage conditions for all materials, including fragile and specialized components, to prevent damage or deterioration.
• Monitor stock levels and coordinate with the procurement department to generate purchase orders for new supplies, ensuring minimum and maximum stock levels are maintained.
• Identify and report obsolete or slow-moving stock for management's review and disposition.
