Position Overview
The SLP will be responsible for conducting evaluations, developing individualized treatment plans, and delivering therapy services. This role offers autonomy, professional collaboration, and the opportunity to positively impact student outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct comprehensive speech, language, and communication assessmentsDevelop and implement personalized treatment plans based on evaluation findingsProvide therapy services in one-on-one and small group settingsCollaborate with educators, families, and school staff to support student progressMonitor and document student development and adjust interventions as neededMaintain thorough and accurate records, including session notes and progress reportsRequired Qualifications
Master's degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders or Speech-Language PathologyCurrent Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with a Speech-Language Pathologist (non-teaching or teaching) endorsementASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferredMinimum of one year of experience conducting speech and language evaluations with adolescents or young adults, preferably in a school or therapeutic settingDemonstrated experience working with students with emotional / behavioral disabilities, autism spectrum disorder, and / or developmental disabilitiesStrong skills in developing and implementing IEP goals related to communicationExcellent interpersonal and communication skills with a collaborative, team-based approach
