Job Overview :

Environmental Construction Inc. is seeking an experienced Senior Estimator - Heavy Civil to join our estimating department. Since 1986, we have specialized in public works projects across Southern California, including water and wastewater improvements, athletic complexes, parks and recreation, landfill gas collection systems, and general site improvements. The ideal candidate will have 8+ years of estimating experience in heavy civil construction, with proficiency in HCSS Heavy Bid software preferred.

Key Responsibilities :

• Review plans and specifications to determine project requirements
• Perform accurate quantity take-offs for project estimates
• Apply labor, equipment, and material costs to develop detailed and competitive bids
• Utilize HCSS Heavy Bid and Viewpoint ProContractor software for estimating (preferred)
• Assist in the preparation of bid proposals, cost breakdowns, and budgets
• Work closely with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure accurate and competitive pricing
• Research and analyze market trends, material costs, and subcontractor pricing
• Participate in pre-bid meetings and site visits to gather necessary project data
