Description

Salary range is $80k to $175k, with a midpoint of $125k. New hires typically receive between minimum and midpoint, however, we may go slightly higher based on experience, internal equity and market.

GENERAL PURPOSE :

With limited direction, performs advanced senior level professional engineering duties in the area of responsibility. Serves as the agency subject matter expert for all phases of Sound Transit projects. Provides technical and strategic support to project directors and managers. Oversees a full range of structural engineering analyses, functions, and design. Ensures conformance with standards and responds to questions and inquiries from local jurisdictions, the public, contractors, consultants, and Agency staff regarding area of expertise.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS :

Education and Experience : Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or related field and five years of structural engineering experience with heavy civil structures including aerial structures, mined and cut-and-cover underground structures and tunnels, parking structures and maintenance buildings; preferably in a rail or transit related environment; Or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
