Supervisor, Bridge Cashier
Job Description
Supervises bridge cashiers to collect tolls and deliver customer service. Reviews operations reports, verifies money receipts, and resolves customer inquiries and complaints.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

- Supervises, directs, and evaluates assigned staff. Supervisory functions include : makes hiring and termination decisions; prioritizes assignments and directs work; develops and oversees employee work schedules and approves time away from work; provides and / or facilitates employee training and development; approves / processes employee concerns and problems and counsels or disciplines as appropriate; completes employee performance appraisals; determines or makes recommendations regarding new hire salaries and salary changes; and acts as liaison between employees and management.
- Reviews and analyzes operation reports for all four international bridges to ensure accountability of revenues by detecting, correcting, and reporting any improper registrations, discrepancies, and irregularities. Creates and gathers data and statistics. Prepares and maintains electronic and paper-based filing and organization system for reports, records, and documents. Conducts cash audits with internal and external auditors as needed.
- Performs and verifies cash-out for cashier tellers. Verifies and manages all money receipts. Generates and reviews reports to balance with deposits, ensuring accuracy and compliance with internal policies and procedures. Prepares and conducts daily cash reports, balances cash drawers, and reconciles receipts and bank deposits. Investigates and resolves any cashier teller balancing issues.
- Oversees the day-to-day operations of the cashier teller office. Handles customer complaints and or questions regarding Audio Video Interleave (AVI) account in person, via phone, or by email. Reviews, revises, and closes inactive AVI accounts.
- Covers Operation Supervisor duties as necessary; oversees bridge functions, traffic officers, collectors, and other bridge staff in the collection of tolls and proper flow of traffic; oversees routine maintenance on International Bridges. Inspects and approves permits. Maintains communication with Mexico. Monitors accidents and irregularities in and around the bridge span.
- Serves on-call 24-7 for urgent situations related to money, overage / shortage, equipment, or reports not functioning.

Required Education and Experience :
Associate's degree or 60 college hours from an accredited college or university in Finance, Business Administration, Psychology, Criminal Justice, or related field or related fieldAt least three (3) years of supervisory work experience in cashiering, customer service, or related fieldValid Licenses or Certifications :
Valid Texas Driver License.
