Job Title : Physician – Region 1
Location : Lima, OH 45802
Duration : At least 6 months, with potential for extension
Schedule : Monday to Friday, 8 : 00 AM – 4 : 00 PM (40 hours / week)
Job Summary :
We are seeking a Board-Eligible or Board-Certified Physician in Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, or Emergency Medicine to provide on-site primary care services to an adult male population, including specialty groups (e.g., dementia, developmentally disabled). You will collaborate with nurse practitioners and other healthcare staff in a structured correctional environment.
Key Responsibilities :
- Perform routine and emergency medical care, including diagnosis, treatment, and minor procedures
- Conduct physical examinations and document findings
- Order, interpret, and follow up on diagnostic tests
- Manage medications and treatment plans
- Complete medical reports, evaluations, and progress notes
- Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and continuous quality improvement activities
- Provide referrals for specialized care when needed
- Maintain compliance with policies, procedures, protocols, and applicable standards
- Educate and support nursing and clinical staff
