About the Role
We’re looking for a Talent Principal to join our team. You’ll work directly with founders, hiring managers, and internal team members to drive searches end-to‑end, build deep relationships, and deliver a world‑class candidate experience. This is a role for someone who wants to build. You’ll not only manage searches but also help shape the systems, processes, and brand that define how Amya operates as a talent agency. You’ll gain exposure to top‑tier founders, and investors, learning the inner workings of early‑stage company building.
What You’ll Do
- Partner with founders and hiring teams across sectors like AI, fintech, consumer, media & entertainment, and frontier tech
- Own full‑cycle recruiting — from initial calibration and sourcing through client management, closing, and post‑hire advisory
- Build sourcing strategies that surface technical and commercial talent capable of driving category‑defining impact
- Develop repeatable systems, data frameworks, and search processes that make Amya faster, sharper, and more predictable
- Contribute to Amya’s brand and community — through events, content, founder partnerships, and storytelling
- Act as a trusted thought partner to clients on hiring strategy, organizational design, compensation benchmarking, and talent quality
Who You Are
Have 1–4 years of experience recruiting for startups or high‑growth teams, sourcing technical or go‑to‑market talent, or driving outbound salesHave thrived in fast‑moving, high‑accountability environments — whether in a startup or recruiting agency settingAre a top performer who measures success through tangible output and have numbers toTake pride in hard work — you move with startup intensity and are energized by high volume, high‑velocity search workCare deeply about brand, aesthetics, and the craft of your workUnderstand technical and business nuance — you can speak credibly with both engineers and founders about what great looks likeThink like a researcher — you experiment, analyze patterns, and constantly refine how you search to get sharper resultsOperate with autonomy and bias for action, but know when to pull in others for feedback and collaborationBring experience in technical or executive searchHave worked closely with early‑stage startups or venture‑backed foundersAre curious about emerging technologies (AI, automation, infrastructure, product‑led growth, etc.) and their impact on talentHave aspirations to be a founder, investor, or partner yourself one dayWhy Join Amya

This role is eligible to be performed remotely within the United States. The anticipated On‑Target Earnings (OTE) range for this role is $150,000 – $400,000 , depending on experience and seniority. Actual compensation may vary based on skills and qualifications.Seniority level
