Fastenal Distribution Center Part-Time Sortation

Overview : Find your future at Fastenal! Our distribution center is hiring energetic, team-oriented individuals to work in our fast-paced warehouse! Working as part-time sortation, you will help facilitate the movement of product throughout the distribution center to company-owned branches. You will organize all outgoing orders by placing packages into totes and pallets in preparation for shipping. This is an entry-level position based out of our distribution center located at 940 W Wilbeth Rd, Akron, OH 44314. This position may offer a flexible schedule after a period of onboarding, training, and meeting performance goals.

Responsibilities : The duties and responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to :

• Operating computer programs, RF scanners, and printers to label product
• Organizing shipments into correct containers
• Packing product in layers to ensure stability and efficient space usage
• Identifying fragile product and process accordingly
• Maintaining the cleanliness and organization of work area
• Complying with health, safety and sustainability rules and expectations
• Participating in activities and programs that help the company achieve health, safety and sustainability objectives
• Learning, passing, and practicing various environmental health and safety trainings
