Financial Service Senior Consultant - FRM (Liquidity, Capital & Treasury Services)

Job Description

The Financial Services Business Unit delivers core capabilities to address the evolving needs of clients in a dynamic regulatory and technological landscape. This role focuses on risk, liquidity, capital, treasury, and related financial services topics within client engagements.

Responsibilities

  • Client delivery as part of an on-site or remote project team; define framework and structure of deliverables and produce complex outputs
  • Manage workstreams, activities, and timelines; identify priorities and workflows for stakeholders
  • Coach teammates in preparing client deliverables using tools such as PowerPoint, Excel, Access, MS Project and Visio; design deliverables for projects
  • Present complex ideas and decisions to team members and client contacts, including middle and top management
  • Conduct research and business analysis to address client challenges, presenting tailored solutions using quantitative and qualitative data
  • Lead and motivate internal teams; promote teamwork and development
  • Build credibility with clients, challenge approaches when appropriate, and help clients evolve
  • Define project framework and organization; manage multiple projects and ensure follow-up
  • Provide status reporting on progress, dependencies, issues, risks, and program health
  • Own work streams of complex projects and lead simpler projects as needed
  • Maintain program sites as repositories for project information

Business Expertise Skills

  • Support practice, thought leadership, and people development activities firmwide
  • Maintain deep understanding of business concepts and relevant knowledge
  • Cultivate knowledge related to specific business challenges within sector and function domains
  • Contribute to development of new solutions in area of expertise
  • Lead internal knowledge-share activities and ensure knowledge transfer to other consultants
  • Collaborate with client leadership to improve processes in areas such as banking governance, risk management, regulatory compliance, treasury transformation, stress testing, and internal audit
  • Advise clients on strategic risk management, including identification, measurement, and management of credit, market, and liquidity risks
  • Help clients quantify risk exposures and develop risk models; gather information and develop recommendations
  • Help build tools to efficiently utilize capital and liquidity resources in line with regulatory expectations
  • Focus on identification, measurement, mitigation, monitoring, and reporting of exposures to interest rate, commodity, equity, credit, and FX movements
  • Develop a point of view on global trends and their impact on clients
  • Business Development Skills

  • Write business proposals and presentations autonomously
  • Detect and qualify business opportunities
  • Share information on new business activities and prospects with management and teams
  • People Management Skills

  • Supervise a project team, promote firm values, and support employee wellbeing
  • Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Management, or related field
  • 3+ years of client-facing management consulting experience
  • 3+ years managing or creating project deliverables in a consulting environment
  • 2+ years leading Financial Services projects (e.g., Capital Planning, Stress Testing, Risk Management, Treasury)
  • Experience in business process design, modeling, and automation
  • Strong client relationship development and management skills
  • Excellent written and spoken communication; strong interpersonal skills
  • Strong organizational, multi-tasking, and time-management skills
  • Analytical problem solving with ability to escalate when needed
  • Willingness to engage in internal initiatives and guide others; demonstrated teamwork
  • Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in finance, financial engineering, or related fields
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
  • Experience with risk and regulatory issues across financial services sectors
  • Exposure to front office systems and market data; understanding of data flow between systems
  • Ability to analyze large data sets using SQL, SAS, or similar tools
  • Certifications such as CFA / FRM / CAIA / CPA
