Software Quality Assurance Lead

FULL JOB DESCRIPTION

We are seeking an experienced Quality Assurance Lead Engineer to join our client's growing DevOps team. You'll play a key role in owning and driving the delivery of quality software products. This is a 100% in the office position.

Position Overview

As a QA Lead Engineer , you will be responsible for creating and executing test plans from detailed product specifications for functional and regression testing on all internal and external applications. You will work closely with the Product Owner and the DevOps team to ensure quality product delivery in an eCommerce environment as well as lead a team of QA Engineers. We're looking for proven ability to record, document and compare expected results to drive high quality standards. Experience and Qualifications Required :

3 years of experience as a QA Engineer / Lead in web-based environments

Write clear, concise detail-oriented test plans / cases from specification documents

Strong understanding of test-driven development processes

Strong understand client requirements and how they translate in application features

Exceptional ability to work and thrive in a fast-paced environment

Exceptional ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently

Excellent research, problem solving and critical thinking skills

Ability to occasionally work nights and weekends, based on business needs

Technologies :

Strong development and execution of automated software testing

Exceptional experience with testing tools like : Selenium, Cypress, RTH, ITP, Katalon, HP, UFT, etc.

Strong knowledge of Windows, MacOS, and Linux operating systems

Solid understanding of Agile Scrum processes

Good understanding of cybersecurity best practices and data protection policies

Software testing in an eCommerce environment

Adept with writing SQL queries

Establish benchmarks for application efficiency and response times

Strong familiarity with software design and programming principles

Ability to set up and maintain a browser lab for testing

Experience with Bash and Shell Scripting

Experience with Gherkin Syntax

Testing Planning & Execution :

Take ownership of quality in all production environments

Develop and execute manual test plans

Maintain and troubleshoot enterprise systems

Identify and document issues with software in production and testing environments

Review technical requirements, identify gaps, and provide feedback

Diligently stay up-to-date with current QA best practices

Document systems and processes, track and document ongoing changes and defects

Estimate, prioritize, and plan testing strategies

Roadmap development of automated testing practices

Lead effort to bring test driven development to DevOps team

Teamwork & Communication :

Lead a team of QA Engineers

Aid the DevOps team in conceptualizing upgrades that will enhance user experience

Provide on-call system support and assist key personnel

Drive quality acceptance as you participate in weekly production deployments

Possess excellent interpersonal skills

Work in cooperation with the Product Owner and DevOps team to ensure delivery of quality software products

Shows confidence and assertiveness when necessary

Possess strong verbal and written communication skills
