About the role :

The Supplier Quality Engineer II will utilize quality engineering methodologies, systems, and practices to support a fast-paced manufacturing and distribution supply chain environment. This role supports the Boston Scientific Quincy site, providing supplier-facing quality oversight across production, distribution, and acquisition onboarding activities. The engineer will be a key Quality representative, enhancing visibility and alignment on quality initiatives that drive site, divisional, and enterprise goals.

This position follows a hybrid work model , with a minimum of three days per week onsite in Quincy, MA.

Work model, sponsorship, relocation :

At Boston Scientific, we value collaboration and synergy. This role follows a hybrid work model requiring employees to be in our local office at least three days per week. Boston Scientific will not offer sponsorship or take over sponsorship of an employment visa for this position at this time. Relocation assistance is not available for this position at this time.

Your responsibilities will include :

  • Identify and implement effective process controls and systems to support the development, qualification, and ongoing production and distribution of products that meet or exceed internal and external requirements.
  • Provide direct supplier quality support for the Quincy site production and distribution operations.
  • Provide quality engineering support during acquisition onboarding and product transition activities.
  • Evaluate, review, and approve SOPs, work instructions, risk management files, and process verifications as applicable.
  • Lead the implementation of assurance systems, process controls, and CAPA practices to maintain regulatory compliance.
  • Serve as a cross-functional team member, supporting quality decisions and initiatives.
  • Apply structured, data-driven problem-solving methodologies to identify, prioritize, and resolve quality issues.
  • Drive the development and execution of consistent, efficient quality processes.
  • Collaborate with local and divisional stakeholders to ensure alignment on quality strategies.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to patient safety and product quality through compliance with the Quality Policy and all documented procedures.
  • Actively engage in process improvement and optimization initiatives.

Qualifications :

Required qualifications :

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in engineering, technology, life sciences, or a related discipline
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in the medical device industry (or similar regulated field) in a supply chain, manufacturing, or production support role
  • Experience in supplier controls and / or acquisition onboarding
  • Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, process improvement, root cause analysis, and critical thinking / problem-solving
  • Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills
  • Ability to travel up to 5%
  • Preferred qualifications :

  • Experience in supply chain distribution environments
  • Familiarity with packaging and final pack quality requirements
  • Proven ability to influence without direct authority

    Minimum Salary : $ 72800

    Maximum Salary : $ 138300

    The anticipated compensation listed above and the value of core and optional employee benefits offered by Boston Scientific (BSC) - see www.bscbenefitsconnect.com-will vary based on actual location of the position and other pertinent factors considered in determining actual compensation for the role. Compensation will be commensurate with demonstrable level of experience and training, pertinent education including licensure and certifications, among other relevant business or organizational needs. At BSC, it is not typical for an individual to be hired near the bottom or top of the anticipated salary range listed above.

    Compensation for non-exempt (hourly), non-sales roles may also include variable compensation from time to time (e.g., any overtime and shift differential) and annual bonus target (subject to plan eligibility and other requirements).
