Medical Assistant Opportunity

We are looking for a dedicated Medical Assistant to join our dynamic team dedicated to providing exceptional primary health care and patient care management in a fast-paced clinical environment. As a Medical Assistant, your responsibilities will support medical professionals in delivering comprehensive care to patients, preparing for examinations and treatments, while ensuring the smooth operation within the clinic.

A diploma from a Medical Assistant accredited program is required. While certification is NOT mandatory, but it is highly preferred. We also offer opportunities for non-certified medical assistants to obtain certification and receive training through our company! Certification not required, but will help get certification while employed in 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the delivery of primary health care and patient care management.
• Perform nursing and administrative duties.
• Prepare patients for examination and treatment.
• Enter health questionnaire information into the Electronic Medical Records system, WebChart.
• Take patient vital signs, review medications and allergies, and enter information into the EMR system, WebChart.
• Prepare and maintain exam and treatment rooms with necessary instruments and supplies.
• Assist physicians or PAs in preparing for medical procedures.
• Verify patient identity by date of birth and full name.
• Perform medical procedures and complete accompanying paperwork.
• Promote the office discharge process, including scheduling tests, appointments, and managing lab orders and prescriptions.
• Triage telephone calls for referral to physician or nurse practitioner.
• Medical Assistants should be prepared to play a crucial role in the day-to-day operations, ensuring providers remain on schedule.
• Rooming patients, handling in-mail / voicemail inquiries, and collaborating with providers to address patient questions.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $16.00 - $24.00 / hr.
