The Marketing Lead Procurement Specialist will support procurement and strategic sourcing activities related to marketing services and products. As a key member of the centralized strategic sourcing team, this position will assist in maximizing efficiencies, deliver value to the marketing function, reduce risk where it exists today, and further our competitive advantage through marketing strategy execution. Working closely with internal functional colleagues, this role involves managing supplier relationships and securing optimal value to support the company's marketing objectives. The ideal candidate will have an understanding of marketing trends, solid negotiation skills, and experience managing contracts and requests for quote / information / proposals (RFx). The role will be an individual contributor, and will collaborate with both procurement management, functional stakeholders, legal counsel, the Procurement Shared Services team for execution, and external suppliers. Core skills such as category management and business acumen are essential, while being adaptable, curious, and a skilled storyteller will enable this person to navigate complex stakeholder landscapes and drive strategic conversations.
Strategic Sourcing
- Manage $25M in annual spend and 60 contracts for contract compliance while targeting at least ~$1.25M in savings.
- Take ownership for management and implementation of the emerging social media strategy.
- Conduct the procurement sourcing process to develop and execute RFI / RFP events, analyze and summarize RFP response data with consideration for the total cost of ownership, and generate materials for negotiations and presentations
- Lead contract negotiations for highly complex and strategic contracts.
- Assist the procurement manager in developing and implementing procurement strategies for marketing services and products, aligning with the company's marketing goals
- Communicate program details from top down according to established guidelines, policies, and protocols
- Identify and drive productivity, cost savings, and cost avoidance, and document the value generated from the procurement process.
- Maintain relationships with Suppliers who can provide goods / services that meet Domino's specifications, superior service, and competitive prices
- Ensures compliance to contract management process. Primary liaison with the Procurement Shared Services team.
- Maintain effective supplier relationships to continuously drive value beyond price
- Stay informed about marketing trends, new marketing technologies, and pricing dynamics to drive continuous improvement.
Qualifications
Demonstrated ability to create and maintain collaborative stakeholder relationshipsBachelor's degree in business administration, Marketing, Supply Chain Management, or a related fieldMinimum 5 years' procurement experience. Marketing industry (or other applicable experience) strongly preferredBroadcast and Social media sourcing and contract negotiation experienceStrong oral and written communication skillsAbility to lead RFP's and contract negotiations, including navigating legal reviews and aligning with internal stakeholdersExperience with engaging, managing, and influencing internal and external relationships at multiple levels (VP+)Demonstrated familiarity with advertising and media agency models, including a strong understanding of staffing plans and comfort working with major media suppliersProven experience managing contracts and negotiations with media platforms and familiarity with digital media buying, including programmatic, paid search, and social media platformsUnderstanding of agency scopes of work, fee structures, and performance-based compensation modelsUnderstanding of Customer Data Platforms (CDP's), marketing automation tools such as SFMC and Hightouch, and data integration workflowsStrong analytical skillsAbility to assess value beyond cost, that is service quality, innovation potential, and strategic alignmentExperience developing category strategiesExperience developing integration strategies / agreements and managing implementation across internal and external partnersSkilled in budget management, cost benchmarking, and ROI analysis for marketing investments, as well as a familiarity with various pricing models that exist across media platform, agency models and martech solutionsAbility to manage multiple high priority programs simultaneously without losing momentum or focusMust be able to excel in a fast-paced environment and continually seek to expand responsibilitiesBenefits
