This position in based in the pediatric pharmacy at Rainbow Babies and Children’s Hospital and
is eligible for a $5,000 SIGN ON BONUS!
Position Summary
The Clinical Pharmacist is responsible for the safe, effective, and cost-effective use of medications through the application of specialized knowledge, skills, and professional judgment. The pharmacist serves as a patient advocate when planning and implementing pharmaceutical care by considering the patient’s disease conditions, background, need for understanding and participation in drug therapy in a fiscally responsible manner. These activities occur in all aspects of pharmacy practice including adult and pediatric inpatient areas, operating room pharmacies, ambulatory oncology and outpatient services (ie., Bolwell Pharmacy). The pharmacist is legally responsible for the review and approval of all activities related to the dispensing of patient specific pharmaceuticals pursuant to a valid prescription or medication order from a practitioner as defined in ORC 4729, 4715, 4731, and / or 4741.
