Brooksource is looking for a Java Developer for our Retail Client's Modernization project. You would be a key contributor in the design, development, and integration of applications that support point of sales data including products, pricing, and promotions. Minimum Requirements
- Minimum 3 years professional engineering / development experience that required hands on coding / programming
- Proficient with Java, Spring, Spring Boot
- Experience with APIs. Experience with or a good understanding of REST principals and Micro Services architecture
- Foundational understanding or experience with Kafka
- Hands on experience with Azure or other cloud services
- Good understanding in GIT repository
- Strong business and technology aptitude with a willingness to learn and understand cloud automation concepts, practices, and tools
Primary Responsibilities :
Participate in the analysis and review of epics, features, and user storiesParticipate in the design and review of technical design of component software featuresParticipate in all Agile ceremonies such as Daily Stand Ups, Sprint Planning, SprintDemo / Reviews, Sprint Retrospectives, and Backlog RefinementModify existing software applications as assignedParticipate in code reviews and the integration testing of solutionsParticipate in the debugging and resolution of issues found during testingAssist in the documentation and implementation of software programs and solutionsWork collaboratively with technical teams interfacing with assigned applicationCreate and maintain system documentation, manuals, policy documents, etc.Research and analyze production support issuesParticipates in production releases as scheduledWhat’s in it for You?
